How are the number of calendars counted?

Understanding calendar limits on Free & Family plans

On Year Glance, each plan has a limit to how many calendars you can view at the same time. Here's how it works:

  • Free plan: view up to 1 calendar

  • Family plan: view up to 2 or 4 calendars, depending on your tier

Note: This limit refers to the number of calendars displayed at the same time in Year Glance — not how many accounts you connect.

Accounts vs calendars

This is an important distinction:

  • An account (Google or Microsoft) may contain multiple calendars.

  • A calendar is an individual schedule or sub-calendar within that account. These are what Year Glance counts toward your plan's limit.

For example, in your personal Google account, you might have:

  • Your main calendar

  • A separate calendar for your kids' activities

  • A calendar for public holidays

  • A calendar shared by your partner

That’s 4 calendars in 1 Google account.

If you're on the free plan, you could choose one of those to view in Year Glance. On a 2-calendar Family plan, you could view any 2 at once — even if they're all from the same Google account.

Example

Jess uses Year Glance with her Google account. Inside that account, she has:

  • Her personal calendar

  • A shared family calendar

  • A calendar for her volunteer work

She’s on the 2-calendar Family plan, so she chooses to view:

  • Her personal calendar

  • The family calendar

She can switch calendars anytime, but can only view up to 2 at once.
